Ladue Broadcast Students attend

ACTE National Convention

Nine students from my Broadcast Technology 2 program, were the hired onsite media journalists for the 2011 Association for Career & Technical Education National Convention in St. Louis, MO. Through a partnership with the Cronkite School of Journalism (Arizona State University) and SchoolTube, these students videotaped keynote speakers (including world re-known Sir Ken Robinson), ACTE teachers of the year, the ACTE President, participating vendors (including representatives from the Army), and many teacher attendees.

The students produced and uploaded 7 videos online to a dedicated website, that our students created. They blogged about the convention on the website, took photos, and posted all of their videos. In total, over 20 videos for the ACTE were produced with the footage our students recorded. Here is the website these students created: http://stardust.jmc.asu.edu/Connections/Connections/Home.html
